Astros' Rylan Bannon: DFA'd by Houston

Bannon was designated for assignment by the Astros on Sunday, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports.

Bannon has appeared in two games for the Astros this season but has spent most of the campaign at Triple-A Sugar Land, where he has a .779 OPS in 81 games. The 27-year-old could remain with the affiliate if he passes through waivers unclaimed.
