Athletics' Aaron Brooks: Outrighted to Las Vegas

Brooks cleared waivers Tuesday and was sent outright to Triple-A Las Vegas.

Brooks was designated for assignment Sunday after posting a 5.82 ERA and 1.62 WHIP through 21.2 innings across four starts. Barring a significant turnaround in the minors, it is unlikely the 34-year-old right-hander returns to Oakland's rotation this season.
