Athletics' Eric Surkamp: Optioned to Triple-A

Surkamp was optioned to Triple-A Nashville on Saturday, Joe Stiglich of CSN California reports.

Surkamp has endured a string of poor outings of late, most recently allowing four runs (two earned) on five hits across only 3.2 innings Saturday. Now 0-5 on the season, he'll head down to Triple-A as the A's bring up Dillon Overton from Nashville to start Saturday's game.
