Torres was released by the Braves on Wednesday, David O'Brain of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

After Torres was reassigned to the Braves' minor league camp on Monday, he was released on Wednesday. Last season the left-handed reliever pitched 34.1 innings for the Mets before the Braves signed him to a minor league deal in the offseason. Torres had the potential to play in the majors this season but general manager John Coppolella stated that Torres was "just not a good fit." With past major-league experience, the 28-year-old would be a nice fit for a team looking to bolster their left-handed depth in the bullpen.
