Heredia agreed to a one-year, $1 million deal Tuesday, avoiding arbitration, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.
Heredia played a minor role on Atlanta's championship team, hitting a modest .220/.311/.354 in 347 plate appearances. Given his ability to handle center field, that line is enough to keep him around in a bench role, especially as his right-handed bat makes him a natural platoon partner for Joc Pederson.
