Pina joined Atlanta on a two-year, $8 million contract Monday, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.

Pina had a strange season at the plate in 2021. His .162 BABIP limited his batting average to just .189, but he had a nearly average 95 wRC+ thanks to a career-best .250 ISO and hit 13 homers in 208 plate appearances. He's mostly performed at a backup level throughout his career and should fill that role behind Travis d'Arnaud for at least two more seasons and possibly a third, as Atlanta also gets a $4 million team option for 2024 as part of the deal.
