Brewers' Fernando Abad: Gets minors deal from Brewers

Abad signed a minor-league contract with the Brewers on Thursday.

Abad was cut loose by the Rockies earlier this month but has quickly found a new home. The veteran left-hander has spent most of his season at Triple-A, posting a 4.26 ERA and 2:3 K:BB over 6.1 innings during his brief time at the big-league level.
