Cardinals' Anthony Garcia: Launches first homer of spring

Garcia blasted a solo home run in his only at-bat during Thursday's 9-4 Grapefruit League win over the Braves.
The 25-year-old outfielder blasted his first round-tripper of spring when he took Jose Ramirez deep to left to round out the scoring on the day. Garcia had somewhat of a rough go of it at the plate in Triple-A Memphis last season, slashing .229/.296/.394 with eight homers and 27 RBI in 247 plate appearances. However, his .253 BABIP over that stretch indicates at least a degree of misfortune, which helped lead to what was Garcia's lowest batting average since 2014 at High-A Palm Beach. Factoring in Tuesday's production, Garcia is hitting .286 with Thursday's homer and four RBI overall in seven at-bats while seeing action in all six of the Cardinals' games.
