Garcia has a .192/.281/.336 line after playing 38 games at Triple-A Memphis.
After increasing his batting average for three straight seasons, Garcia's decline in performance at the plate is particularly concerning. He started the season by getting a hit in six of the first seven games, but proceeded to enter a slump that has yet to end, and has just 17 hits in the following 101 at-bats. When the 2016 campaign began, the chances were slim that Garcia would see time in the majors, and his performance thus far has made a call-up even more unlikely.
