Charlie Barnes: Signs with Lotte

Barnes signed with the Lotte Giants of the KBO on Thursday, Jon Morosi of MLB Network reports.

Barnes split the 2021 season between Triple-A St. Paul and the Twins, pitching primarily as a starter. While he experienced some success in the minors, he posted only a 5.92 ERA and 1.63 WHIP across 38 innings with the big-league club. As a result, he was designated for assignment in mid-November. With his future in question stateside, he'll now seek a new opportunity in the KBO and should have a chance to stick in the rotation with Lotte.
