Charlie Culberson: Announces retirement from baseball

Culberson announced his retirement from baseball Thursday.

Culberson, 35, attempted to convert to pitching during spring training, but he was released by Atlanta in late March and never caught on with a new club. The utility player slashed .248/.294/.386 over parts of 11 major-league seasons.
