Cubs' Josh Phegley: Makes 60-player pool

Phegley will be a part of the Cubs' 60-man player pool this season.

Phegley gives the Cubs a veteran catching option behind starter Willson Contreras and Victor Caratini. MLB teams will also be able to travel with three-player "taxi squads" this season in addition to their regular 30-man rosters, and Phegley is a likely option for the taxi squad, giving the Cubs insurance behind the plate during road trips.
