McKinstry isn't starting Friday against the Brewers.
McKinstry started the last two games and went 1-for-8 with a stolen base and four strikeouts. He'll get a breather against left-hander Aaron Ashby while Patrick Wisdom shifts to the hot corner, with P.J. Higgins starting at first base.
