Diamondbacks' Phillip Evans: Lands NRI from Arizona

Evans signed a minor-league contract with the Diamondbacks on Friday and was invited to major-league spring training, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

Evans has posted a .651 OPS over parts of four major-league seasons but spent all of 2022 at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in the Yankees organization. The 30-year-old will compete for a utility job.
