Evans signed a minor-league contract with Atlanta on Dec. 21.
Evans last appeared in a big-league game in 2021 as a member of the Pirates, and he's since played for affiliates of the Yankees and Diamondbacks. He's unlikely to make Atlanta's Opening Day roster, but he could stick around with the club as organizational depth.
