Dodgers' Cole Figueroa: Designated for assignment

Figueroa was designated for assignment by the Dodgers on Friday, Eric Stephen of SB Nation reports.

A waiver acquisition from Pittsburgh, Figueroa's tenure on the Dodgers' 40-man roster lasted just over a week. Figueroa is a .208/.250/.286 career hitter at the major league level and was 4-for-26 with the Pirates this year, but he can play three infield positions and may appeal to another organization looking for depth.
