Peralta is not in the starting lineup Friday against Texas, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Peralta will take a seat as Los Angeles squares off with left-hander Andrew Heaney. Chris Taylor will replace him in left field and bat fifth in the series opener with the Rangers.
