Soto elected free agency Monday after clearing outright waivers.
The 33-year-old infielder was briefly up with the Twins in mid-June for a few days, but he was removed from the 40-man roster without having ever made an appearance for the big club. He spent the majority of the 2022 campaign at Triple-A St. Paul, where he slashed .223/.320/.342 over 344 plate appearances.
