Giants' Darin Ruf: Placed on IL with wrist injury

Ruf was placed on the 10-day injured list with right wrist inflammation by the Giants on Monday.

Ruf will miss at least a week-plus while he recovers. Austin Slater (hamstring) is reinstated off the injured list in a corresponding transaction, and it's likely that Slater will see his reps against left-handed pitching while Ruf is out of action.
