Giants' Phoenix Sanders: Inks minors deal with Giants

Sanders signed a minor-league contract Thursday with the Giants.

Sanders will be stationed at Triple-A Sacramento for now, but he could eventually get an opportunity in San Francisco given the team's poor bullpen work. The 27-year-old right-hander posted a 3.07 ERA with 12 strikeouts across his first 14.2 major-league innings last season with the Rays. However, his minor-league numbers from 2022 weren't nearly as encouraging with 22 earned runs allowed in 27 outings.
