Heathcott agreed to a minor league deal with the Giants on Friday with a spring training invite, Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports reports.

Heathcott spent most of 2016 at the Triple-A level, first with the White Sox and then with the Yankees. In his final stop of the season with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, the 26-year-old outfielder slashed .230/.271/.363 in 97 plate appearances. While he will have a chance to prove himself at spring training, he will most likely begin 2017 in Triple-A.
