Romano agreed Tuesday with the Mariners on a minor-league contract, Corey Brock of The Athletic reports.

Romano will attend Seattle's big-league camp as a non-roster invitee, but he's more likely to begin the campaign at Triple-A Tacoma than with the big club. He made 19 relief appearances in the majors in 2021 between the Yankees, Brewers and Reds, compiling a 6.12 ERA and 1.68 WHIP in 25 innings.
