The Marlins selected Lindgren's contract from Triple-A Jacksonville on Monday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Heraldreports.

Lindgren will give the Marlins' bullpen some protection with their starters having not pitched deep into games in the early going. The 26-year-old held a 4.21 ERA and 116:53 K:BB over 136.2 innings between Double-A Pensacola and Triple-A Jacksonville last season. He'll be making his major-league debut when he enters a game.
