Mets' Brandon Nimmo: Departs with shoulder injury

Nimmo was removed from Sunday's game against the Marlins due to shoulder discomfort, David Lennon of Newsday reports.

Nimmo had an eventful seventh inning, as he fouled a pitch off himself in the top of the frame and had a diving catch to finish the bottom of the inning. According to Tim Healey of Newsday, the outfielder is scheduled to undergo an MRI on the shoulder Monday. Before exiting Sunday's contest, Nimmo went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo homer, his 18th long ball of the season.
