The Mets selected Stewart's contract from Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Stewart joins the Mets as a bench bat after posting an .878 OPS with 16 home runs and 41 RBI through 51 games this season at the Triple-A level. The 29-year-old last appeared in a major-league game in April 2022.
