Mets' Locke St. John: Moved off 40-man roster

The Mets designated St. John for assignment Tuesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

St. John will cede his spot on the 40-man roster to outfielder Ender Inciarte, whose contract was selected from Triple-A Syracuse ahead of Tuesday's game against the Astros. After being claimed off waivers from the Cubs on May 10, St. John never received a call-up to New York and turned in a 4.60 ERA and 1.21 WHIP over 15.2 innings with Syracuse.
