Mets' Sam Clay: Recalled from Triple-A

Clay was recalled from Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Clay has given up five earned runs across 4.1 big-league innings this year and will rejoin the Mets after being demoted a couple weeks ago. The 29-year-old should fill a low-leverage role out of the bullpen.
