Nido (thumb) will be reinstated from the 10-day injured list by the Mets on Tuesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Nido suffered a sprained thumb in late August and recently went 3-for-7 with two RBI and a run across two rehab games. The 27-year-old will mainly serve as a backup to James McCann, but he's starting at catcher and batting eighth in Tuesday's game against the Cardinals, Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News reports.
