Nomar Mazara: Released by Baltimore

Mazara was released by the Orioles on Monday, Steve Melewski of MASNSports.com reports.

Mazara wasn't going to make the Opening Day roster and exercised his opt-out. The 27-year-old hasn't hit much this spring or at the major-league level for a few years now, so he'll probably have to settle for a minor-league contract wherever he winds up.
