Orioles' David Washington: Heads back to Norfolk

Washington was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday.

Washington was hitless in three appearances for the Orioles, and with outfield depth the more pressing need at the moment, the Orioles will send the 26-year-old back to the minors. His power numbers at Triple-A could certainly warrant a callup in the near future, although for the time being, Craig Gentry will take his spot on the MLB roster.
