Orioles' Greg Allen: DFA'd by O's

The Orioles designated Allen for assignment Saturday.

Allen was signed by Baltimore on Aug. 8 and went hitless in 14 at-bats over seven games with the team. He'll yield his spot on the 26-man and 40-man rosters to make room for highly-regarded outfield prospect Dylan Beavers. Assuming Allen goes unclaimed on waivers, he'll likely remain in the Orioles organization.
