Triple-A Norfolk placed Ciuffo on its 60-day injured list July 21 due to an unspecified issue.
Ciuffo was sidelined for the first month and a half of the minor-league season with a fractured hand, but he returned to action in mid-June and played in 12 games before being shut down a month later. Norfolk hasn't indicated whether Ciuffo suffered a setback with the initial injury or is dealing with a different concern, but regardless, he's unlikely to play again in 2021.
