Padres' Rougned Odor: Dropped from 40-man roster

Odor was designated for assignment by the Padres on Tuesday.

This move comes a few weeks after the Padres cut ties with Nelson Cruz. Odor was receiving semi-regular playing time out of the DH spot at one point, but he heads into DFA limbo having registered an overall .210/.306/.370 batting line with four homers and 18 RBI in 59 games (157 plate appearances) for San Diego.
