The Phillies selected Sheerin with the No. 128 overall pick in the 2026 First-Year Player Draft.
Sheerin missed 2025 for LSU recovering from a torn ACL but returned this spring throwing three ticks harder with his fastball, with that pitch now sitting in the mid-90s and touching 100 mph. He throws several secondary pitches and may just be scratching the surface of his potential, although there's enough effort in his delivery for him to potentially end up in the bullpen long term.
