Phillies' Nick Martini: Clears waivers

Martini passed through waivers unclaimed Wednesday and will remain with the Phillies as a non-roster invitee, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Martini had been claimed off waivers twice earlier in the offseason but apparently wasn't wanted this time around. He'll still be fighting for a bench spot with the Phillies this spring, but that task just became considerably more difficult.
