Pirates' Starling Marte: Remains out Sunday

Marte (back) remains out of the lineup Sunday against the Reds.

While the Pirates hoped Marte would be able to return to action at some point over the weekend, it doesn't look as though that will be the case. Marte has not played in nearly two weeks, having made his last appearance back on Sept. 5. The infielder should continue to be considered day-to-day, however, until the Pirates say otherwise.
