Rangers' Adolis Garcia: Officially placed on IL

The Rangers placed Garcia on the 10-day injured list Friday with a right patellar tendon strain.

Garcia suffered his injury while attempting to rob Michael Brantley of a home run during Wednesday's contest. Now that Garcia is out for at least 10 days, top prospect Evan Carter will come up from Triple-A Round Rock and fill in as Texas' primary right fielder while Garcia recovers.
