Rangers' Anderson Tejeda: Sent down by Rangers

Tejeda was optioned to the Rangers' alternate training site Saturday.

Tejeda joined the major-league roster while Brock Holt (hamstring) was sidelined, but he'll return to the team's alternate training site after Holt was reinstated from the 10-day IL on Saturday. Tejeda appeared in five games for the Rangers and went 1-for-16 with a run, one stolen base and 10 strikeouts. Holt should now serve on the strong side of a platoon at third base while Charlie Culberson starts against southpaws.
