Red Sox's Jake Faria: Added to roster to replace Martin

The Red Sox selected the contract of Faria from Triple-A Worcester on Sunday.

Faria was added to the roster after Chris Martin (shoulder) was placed on the 15-day injured list with shoulder inflammation. The right-hander last pitched in the majors with Arizona in 2021 while registering a 5.51 ERA over 32.2 innings across 23 appearances. Faria will operate in the middle innings while with the Red Sox.
