Kendrick allowed 10 runs (nine earned) on 10 hits and a walk while striking out four over six innings for Triple-A Pawtucket on Monday, Tim Britton of the Providence Journal reports.
Kendrick was hit hard by Syracuse and stayed out to take the beating because the PawSox extended their bullpen in a doubleheader Sunday. It's unlikely the Red Sox have altered their opinion of Kendrick, who excelled in spring training with a 2.18 ERA over 33 innings. He still sits atop the pile of minor-league depth starters.
