Abreu went 2-for-5 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 14-7 win over the Mariners.
Abreu had what may have been the key at-bat early in the contest. He worked a full count and fouled off several pitches before delivering a two-run single on the 12th offering as part of Boston's seven-run third inning. It was the fifth consecutive game with an RBI for Abreu, who is 6-for-14 with six RBI during that span. With runners in scoring position, Abreu his hitting .328 with a .920 OPS.
