Reds' Brett Kennedy: Exits 40-man roster

Kennedy was designated for assignment by the Reds on Tuesday.

The transaction frees up a spot on the 26-man and 40-man rosters for the return of Alex Young (back) from the 60-day injured list. Kennedy was with the Reds for a handful of days and didn't make an appearance.
