Richard Lovelady: Chooses free agency

Lovelady elected free agency Tuesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Lovelady joins the open market after his outright assignment Saturday. The 30-year-old had an 8.49 ERA in 11.2 big-league innings this season, the second-worst mark of his career behind his 9.00 ERA in 2020.
