Royals' Drew Waters: Placed on bereavement list

Kansas City placed Waters on the bereavement list Thursday.

Waters will miss Thursday's series finale in Boston, and maybe also the Royals' two-game Friday and Saturday set against the Cardinals. He's slashing .237/.297/.405 with seven homers and seven steals in 60 major-league games this year.
