Royals' Gavin Cross: On injured list with back issue

Double-A Northwest Arkansas placed Cross on its 7-day injured list Wednesday due to back tightness, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Cross has been excellent with a .297/.381/.453 slash line over 46 contests with Northwest Arkansas this season. The outfield prospect will be sidelined at least a week before he'll be able to return to action.
