Tigers' Jace Fry: Signs minor-league deal with Tigers

Detroit signed Fry to a minor-league contract Wednesday that includes an invitation to big-league spring training.

Fry spent the back half of the 2022 campaign with Triple-A Lehigh Valley after signing with the Phillies in June, producing a bloated 6.75 ERA and 1.50 WHIP with 20 strikeouts over 16 innings in 18 appearances. The left-hander will now have a shot at cracking the Tigers' Opening Day roster if he can impress this spring.
