Tigers' Jack Penney: Going to Detroit

The Tigers have selected Penney with the 147th overall pick in the 2024 First-Year Player Draft.

A lefty-hitting third baseman from Notre Dame, Penney didn't have a great junior season (.269 average, nine homers in 52 games) and his college production actually peaked as a freshman, when he hit .288 with a .996 OPS in 39 games. He doesn't have loud tools or a high ceiling for fantasy.
