Carpenter is starting in left field and batting third in Saturday's game against the Diamondbacks.
Carpenter returned from the injured list and served as the DH on Friday after being out with a shoulder strain since late April. He'll now move over to left field with Akil Baddoo (quadriceps) landing on the IL himself Saturday. This could be an opportunity for Carpenter to see more regular playing time in the field moving forward.
