Tigers' Sam Clay: Catches on with Detroit

Clay signed a minor-league contract with the Tigers on Sunday.

Clay was with the Diamondbacks in spring training but was granted his release in late March after failing to win a spot in Arizona's Opening Day bullpen. The left-hander holds a career 5.90 ERA over 65 relief appearances at the big-league level.
