Trey Amburgey: Cut loose by Seattle

Seattle released Amburgey from his minor-league contract Aug. 11.

The 27-year-old outfielder, who appeared in two games for the Yankees in 2021, has appeared exclusively in the minors with the Reds and Mariners organizations this season. Over 20 games with Tacoma, Amburgey slashed .172/.232/.281 with a 29 percent strikeout rate.
